Capillary tubes
Capillary tubes are special, precision-made, high quality metallurgical products of circular profile, obtained by cold drawing. Unlike standard hot and cold made seamless pipes, they are characterized by extremely small walls and diameters with a particularly narrow dimension.
The capillary tubes, apart from their small dimensions, are characterized by much smaller deviations of the straightness, precision of the surface itself, the length and the ends of the product. The best visual example that will stimulate the reader's imagination is the needle present in everyday medicine.
Capillary tubes are most often produced from stainless steel, acid resistant, heat resistant and creep resistant, special alloys, nickel, titanium and other non-ferrous metals. They are used for the production of pressure equipment and systems, measuring technology equipment, specialized food processing equipment in the food and nitrogen industry, ship construction, parts responsible for furnaces and boilers, and hydrogen discharge systems.
The outer diameter range of capillary tubes should be closed in the range of 0.30 - 20.00 mm, while the wall thickness range is between 0.10 - 6.00 mm. The use of capillary tubes can be found in the engineering, pharmacological, aerospace, petrochemical and chemical industries, and in the energy, food, cryogenic and machine industries.
