Non-alloy steels specification

Only part of the material available in this subgroup is available in our company. Non-alloy steels are used on low-responsibility parts of machines, appliances, everyday products such as household appliances, metal furniture parts, fasteners, construction in general construction, industrial, automotive industry, and also hydraulics. In addition, some of them are also used in the production of high pressure vessels for nitrogen or air, pipes for the supply of drinking water, the production of press parts, parts used in aviation and railway.

Section

  • construction non-alloy steels, machine steels for thermal improvement and carburizing (C10E, C15E, C35E, C45E, C60E)
  • steel for pressure equipment (P245GH, P280GH, P305GH, P295GH),
  • fine-grained steels,
  • spring steels (C55S, C67S, C75S, C85S, C90S, C100S, C125S),
  • automated steels (11SMnPb37, 11SMn30)
  • low carbon steel for cold forming (DC01, DC03, DC04, DC05, DC06, DC07),
  • hot-dip galvanized steels, or with other surfaces.

Chemical composition

Unlike ordinary steels, non-alloyed steels are "cleaner" in terms of sulfur and phosphorus content in the chemical composition, although they are deliberately over-inflated (for example, to facilitate machining). Cutting is also facilitated by the addition of lead - Pb in the chemical composition.

It should also be added that a large proportion of these materials are present, and may be present in standardized annealing or after standardizing rolling conditions. Some of them are small in size or approved for alloying additives (eg. silicon, copper, chromium, nickel), improving properties or heat treatment of materials.

They do not have an extremely significant effect on the characteristics and properties of the material (as in alloyed steels and high alloyed steels), but have been included in the standards, and in the manufacture of components on a larger scale facilitate the fabrication of the material for a specific purpose. The main constituents of non-alloy steel besides iron are manganese and carbon.

Standards

The above described groups of steel define the Polish standards PN-75/H-84019, PN-88/H-84020, PN-63/H-84021, PN-H-84023 and EN 10083, EN 10025, EN 10087 according to which are provided:
