60S2HA, 60S2HFA, 50HGFA, 70S2HA – description
Strong, ductile, hardenable steel for quenching in oil. Used for all types of springs and spring parts, subjected to heavy and alternating loads. It can operate in the high temperature up to 300°C.
Typical applications are suspension springs, shock absorbers, gland seals, sealing rings and valve springs.

- Tensile strength Rm: > 1470 MPa
- Elongation A: > 6 %
- Percent reduction of area Z: > 25 %
- Heat-treated condition:
- Hardness HB: < 285
- Diameter cone impression: > 3.6 mm
- Without heat treatment:
- Hardness HB: < 321
- Diameter cone impression: > 3.4 mm
