25HGT, 1.8401, 30MnCrTi4, 30HGT – description

Case-carburizing steel 25HGT has greater amount of carbon than similar alloy 18HGT. The grade shows higher hardness after heat treatment than 18HGT. The rest of the alloy additions are similar.

This alloy is widely used for:

  • Transmission shafts

A very ductile and shock-resistant steel. Hard top layer after carburizing.
