1.4361, X1CrNiSi18-15-4 – description
1.4361 is used for parts exposed to hot, concentrated nitric acid or sulfuric acid. Resistant to intergranular corrosion, which develops particularly in very concentrated (above 90%) nitric environments up to boiling point, also in the presence of oxidising ions.
We recommend to weld using TIG or MIG technique. One of the suitable filler metals is Soudinox S1. Post-weld heat treatment is not required, but recommended, especially for heavy-duty applications. Pickling is, however, required, preceded by immediate passivation. The alloy belongs to the welding group 8.1
